Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?

Dr. Butler chose dentistry because he wanted to make a meaningful impact on the lives of others. He was drawn to the unique balance in dentistry between scientific knowledge and technical skill, which allows him to provide comprehensive care with a hands-on approach. Dentistry provides him with the opportunity to serve his community, and he feels privileged to be able to help his patients in such a direct and personal way.

Where Did You Study Dentistry?

Dr. Butler began his academic journey at North Carolina State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences. He then went on to complete his Doctorate in Dental Surgery at New York University, one of the top dental schools in the country. Since graduating, he has continuously expanded his knowledge through ongoing education courses and is a member of several prestigious professional organizations, including the American Dental Association, the NC Dental Society, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and the Fuquay Dental Study Club. This dedication to learning ensures he stays at the forefront of dental advancements and can offer the highest level of care to his patients.

Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?

Dr. Butler enjoys spending quality time with his family, including his wife, Samantha, and their four children, William, Caroline, Scarlett, and Clara. He’s an active member of his church community and loves being at the lake, where he can relax by swimming, boating, and fishing. As an alumni of NC State University, Dr. Butler enjoys rooting for the Wolfpack in sports! Staying active is also important to Dr. Butler, and he enjoys running and working out to keep fit. His hobbies and time with loved ones allow him to recharge and bring his best to his patients each day.
